Welcome to Fort Collins Youth Rugby 

The Fort Collins Boys Rugby team suffered their first defeat on Saturday, March 30th to  Aspen 41 to 15 to put their record at 3-1.  This week the team plays Littleton in a league match at 5:00 p.m. at Greenbriar Park in Fort Collins.  This Saturday the team travels to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to participate in the Rocky Mtn. Classic and will play Legend/Ponderosa, Green Mtn. Warriors, East B, and Harlequin Rugby.  If you know of anyone still interested in playing they are still more than welcome to come out to practice and play.  Also tell everyone about the upcoming matches and come out and support the team.

 If you are interested in joining the the team practices are on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Rossborough Park (1630 Casa Grande Blvd), just east and south of Rocky Mtn. High School off Dunbar Ave.  We will work with players that may have a commitment and can’t make one of those days.  Matches are on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s.  All needed paper work will be available at practice.

 

 The Fort Collins Youth Rugby Boys program has been around since 1984 and has won 4 State Championships in 1986, 1994, 1995 and 1996. In the National High School Rugby Tournament they have finished fifth in 1994, fourth in 1995, and sixth in 1996.  FCYR Boys play in the spring with practices starting in early February and the season running until mid May.

 

The Fort Collins Youth Rugby Girls program started in 2000 and has won the Colorado State Championship 7 times in 13 seasons (2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2011) and the National Championship in 2000 and 2001. Overall in thirteen seasons the girls are 116-31-2.  The FCYR Girls play in the fall with practices starting in mid August and season running until early November.
